About Veronica Dunlap

Bio
Veronica Dunlap is a lawyer, business strategist, and change agent who has built her career around protecting and securing the civil rights of the nation's most vulnerable people. Veronica's leadership spans more than a decade and has included impact litigation, strategic decision making, communications, and organizational development. Her work has uplifted communities that face issues such as education inequities, police brutality, and unequal voting rights.
Before her legal career, Veronica performed on stages around the world as a classically trained dancer. She began her training at the world-class performing arts school in Baltimore, MD and eventually moved to the heart of Harlem in New York City to continue dancing. After a fulfilling career on the stage, Veronica transitioned into law and public speaking. In addition, she mentors prospective and current law students, especially those with nontraditional backgrounds.
Over the years, Veronica has received recognition for her work, including the New York County Lawyer’s Association Pro Bono Honors Award for her outstanding work in public service, the Outstanding Woman Lawyer in Public Service award from the National Bar Association’s Women’s Law Division, and the BSLA Trailblazer award from her law school. She is a proud mother to her son and dedicated daughter of her inspirational father.
Veronica is an in-demand, dynamic public speaker for those looking to inspire young people, women, and BIPOC people who aspire to be lawyers or who are looking for examples of people like themselves who have become successful.
